Questions

About commercial loans

Is this a home loan?

No. This form is for commercial and business-purpose financing: property your business uses or property you hold as an investment. For a home you'll live in, or a 1 to 4 unit rental on a long-term loan, use our home loan prequal instead.

Who handles commercial loans?

Matador Funding, Matador's business-purpose lending arm. When you submit this form, your request goes straight to the Matador Funding team, and you can also reach them at matadorfunding.com.

What's the difference between hard money and a commercial loan?

Hard money is short-term, asset-based financing, often used for fix and flips and bridge situations. A commercial loan is longer-term financing for buying or refinancing an income-producing or owner-occupied property. Matador Funding will tell you which path fits your deal.

Will submitting this pull my credit?

No. This is an inquiry, not an application. Nothing touches your credit until you choose to move forward.

Commercial and business-purpose loans are not consumer mortgage loans and are offered through Matador Funding. Availability, terms, and eligibility vary by property, borrower, lender, and state, and all loans are subject to underwriting and approval. This is not a commitment to lend.
